The scholarship presentation highlighted the ongoing partnership between the greater Estero business community and local students. In addition to financial support, Chamber members regularly volunteer their time mentoring students in entrepreneurial programs, coaching, participating in job expos, and helping prepare the next generation for success in the workforce.

This year’s total scholarship awards of $20,000 represent a 190% increase in scholarship funding over 2025. $10,000 in scholarships were awarded May 6, 2026 to Estero High School seniors in addition to the $10,000 awarded to Bonita Springs students.

“Supporting these scholarships means supporting the future of our community,” said Cliff Brand. “Thanks to the generosity of our members, sponsors, and fundraising efforts, we’re able to give local students opportunities to continue their education and build their careers here in Southwest Florida.”

The Chamber noted that many scholarship recipients plan to attend Florida Gulf Coast University, which contributes significantly to the region’s workforce, with approximately half of its graduates remaining in the local area after graduation.

Scholarship funding is made possible through community support of Chamber fundraising events, including EsteroFest and the Greater Estero Chamber Golf Tournament.
